We always loved to try and get stories out of our intrepid Uncle Basil and were rewarded on many occasions.  Particularly memorable was the squirrel eating whilst undertaking survival training in Canada and the perfection of 2.5 second flight down a stairway with multiple floors to ensure a little extra time in bed on school mornings whilst still meeting the deadline for breakfast.

Despite all his achievements and talents he was very unassuming and he was touchingly devoted to caring for Eleanor in more recent times.

Richard and David I hope you won't mind me saying the only thing I won't miss is his driving ;)

Your mum and dad cared for each other so much and you have done them proud in your care for them too.
